Sauvons Le Climat

With its Energiewende, Germany has chosen to phase out nuclear power and to place its efforts on intermittent energies, wind and photovoltaïc power. What is the impact on electric power in Germany? This is analyzed by Professor Doctor Friedrich Wagner in a lecture he gave recently for a colloquium at the Max Planck Institut. We offer here this presentation, with comments added by Professor Wagner to make his slides more accessible to the reader in the absence of the oral presentation. Indeed, when we discovered this document, taking into account the strong interdependence of the European electricity market, we found it was important to make this analysis available to the readers of the SLC Web site.

We warmly thank Professor Wagner for giving us his permission to publish this study on the SLC Web site.
